Scheduling is based on a semester system. The student will have fifteen lessons during fall semester and fifteen lessons during the spring semester. The extra four weeks of both semesters will serve as built-in time for make-up lessons. If make-up lessons are not necessary, additional lessons may be purchased individually based on the teacher's availability. The length of the lesson is determined by many factors, including the age and level of the student, as well as affordability for the student.
INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

Payment is due at the beginning of the month for the previous month, or you can get one free lesson by paying for the whole semester. Payment can be by debit or credit card online or by check or cash in the on-site lockbox. Checks should be made payable to Carolina Academy of Music and left in the drop box. A $20 fee will be charged for return checks.
A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. Please Contact Laura Tomlin for more information.
If a student cannot attend a scheduled lesson, we request that you notify your teacher directly no less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time. Every attempt to schedule a make-up lesson will be made if the teacher has been given 24 hours notice. If a student misses a lesson and fails to notify the teacher, it will be up to the teacher as to whether to schedule a make-up lesson or to charge the student for the lesson. In the case of an emergency, such as illness, weather, unforeseen car trouble, etc., we ask that you please contact your teacher as soon as possible.
If a teacher is unavailable for a regularly scheduled lesson, the teacher will contact you directly to reschedule. If a lesson can not be arranged, the fees will be credited to the student's account towards future lessons.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own music under the guidance of their teacher. Attaining an instrument is also the responsibility of the student. We do have a limited number of instruments available for use on a need basis.
